Ann Arbor Ultimate - Rule Modifications

Ann Arbor Ultimate plays using the 10th Edition rules, with some modifications. Find the league you are playing in below to see what modifications to the rules to expect.

 
Spring League
  • Dropped pull - A dropped pull is not a turnover, but the defense gets to set up
  • Foot blocks - no foot blocks within 2 meters (thats around 6 feet) of the thrower
  • Gender Match - Offense sets, Defense matches. Try to agree on a general number/rule with the other captain before the game. In no event are women required to play the entire game just to meet this rule (unless she/they want to).
 
Summer Recreational League
  • Dropped pull - A dropped pull is not a turnover, but the defense gets to set up
  • Foot blocks - no foot blocks within 2 meters (thats around 6 feet) of the thrower

Summer Competitive League

  • Foot blocks - Foot blocks are legal (standard foul rules apply)
  • Gender Match - Offense sets, Defense matches. Try to agree on a general number/rule with the other captain before the game. In no event are women required to play the entire game just to meet this rule (unless she/they want to).
 
Fall League
  • Dropped pull - A dropped pull is not a turnover, but the defense gets to set up
  • Foot blocks - no foot blocks within 2 meters (thats around 6 feet) of the thrower

Winter League

  • Interference - As a reminder, discs contacting something outside of the field of play (the sides of the dome) are a turnover, where ever they hit.
