Welcome to Summer League 2008

Ann Arbor Ultimate is very excited to present Summer League 2008. The Summer season will have 5 divisions:

Sunday Division (Coed)

This is a mixed gender league, defense will be required to match the number of men/women the receiving team puts on the field each point. The ratios of men:women on the field are determined by the captains based on attendance on any given night. *Please note price changes! Price is $35/40 until May 20th, then $45/50 until registration closes on the 26th.

Monday Division (Women)

This is an all women's league. Format and level of play are otherwise similar to coed recreation nights. If there is interest, we will also run a set of instructional clinics at the beginning of the league, but this will be separate from regular league games. *Please note price changes! Tuesday Division (Competitive)

Co-ed Competitive Night

This co-ed division will feature a higher level of play than the recreational divisions. There is more focus on strategy and skills, and captains will often run practices/drills before games. Teams play strictly by the UPA 11th edition rules (i.e. without the rec. league modifications of no foot blocks, a dropped pull not being a turnover, and no zone at the beginning). There are no groups allowed, so team balance will be better. Anyone who feels they are ready to step it up a notch may join. See details for more info. *Please note price changes! Wednesday Division (Showcase)

This is an elite level open division. This 4-team division will be created via captain's draft - 80 players can sign up but only 56 will be selected to play. The showcase division will feature high level club and college players, as well as the top league players. We'll go strictly by the UPA 11th edition rules, without the usual modifications of no foot blocks, a dropped pull not being a turnover, and no zone at the beginning. The level of play is higher, with open format, but anyone who feels they are ready to step it up a notch may sign up. See details for more info. *Please note price changes! Price is $40/45 until May 20th, then $50/55 until registration closes on the 26th.
